AKESO HERB CO.

[The name Akeso is derived from the Greek verb “akeome”, which is synonymous with healing.]

At Akeso, we are committed to bringing the world’s very best Greek herbs and blossoms to market, from Alpha to Omega.

In addition to our traditional product lines, our portfolio includes a variety of hard to source endemic species of flora with their unique qualities.

As we are driven by a profound sense of respect to the environment and our commitment to the holistic, sustainable development of local farming communities, we apply the strictest traceability, certification and monitoring protocols for each and every batch we source for our clients.

Our story.

The ancient Greeks were always in close communion with nature, and believed that the cure for most ailments could be found amongst the incredibly diverse flora of their native lands. Centuries later, modern medicine has in many instances confirmed that the Greeks were right all along.

Today, Greece still has one of Europe’s most diverse ecosystems, while the near total lack of heavy industry and its sparsely populated countryside means that its endemic flora has avoided the contamination that plagues most other regions in the Mediterranean and the Middle East.

It is this unique combination of history, morphology, geology and wealth of microclimates that has brought us Akeso.

Our local team has over a decade of experience working with small-scale organic farmers throughout Greece, having partnered with several hundred of them through the years in every phase of their establishment, certification and expansion. This is combined with international experience of ImpactAgri’s team who develop and manage environmentally sustainable and socially inclusive agribusinesses worldwide.
